The Hernando County design celebrates the historical heritage of the Chinsegut Hill Manor House. The Chinsegut Hill Manor House (also known as Tiger Tail Hill, Mount Airy, Snow Hill, or simply The Hill) is situated on Chinsegut Hill, a historic site approximately five miles northeast of the city of Brooksville Florida. Begun in the 1840s, the building was added on to throughout several decades. Chinsegut Hill Manor House dates back 160 years to the days of territorial Florida and the Seminole Wars. Its several owners steadily expanded and improved the house, and its various wings were created in a period that stretches a century. Architecturally, the house has been modified and refined over the year. On November 21, 2003, Chinsegut Hill Manor House was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The depiction on the ornament is from an original work by local artist Lynne Simone. A native of New York, Ms. Simone currently serves as the Public Relations Chair and Historian for the Spring Hill Art League. Her works are primarily in pastels. She has a special fondness for animal portraits and has exhibited throughout Hernando County and art shows throughout the state. The ornament features a gold imprint on a purple matte ornament. |

The City of
Brooksville design honors “Rogers’ Christmas House”,
established in 1971 at its current location. Originally begun by the
late Winnie Rogers, she started the business by selling Christmas
items and gifts from her home in 1969. From there, this enchanting
village evolved to feature five turn-of-the-century houses filled
with an array gifts for all occasions, and highlighted with
breathtaking Christmas displays. The depiction of Rogers’ Christmas
House is a silver imprint on a red matte ornament.
